The Trap attracts mosquitoes by emitting carbon dioxide, heat and a special mosquito attractant called Octenol.
Mosquito Trap #3¡¦s Trap acts like a decoy to attract mosquitoes, keeping them away from you. The Trap creates three things mosquitoes seek when looking for a meal: CO 2, Octenol, and heat.
