Water & Wastewater Filtration System

Surface runoff such as grits, small solid waste and sewage from temporary sanitary facilities will produce wastewater. The wastewater usually contains high concentration of suspended solid, BOD, ammonia and E.coli.

In 1998 Waste & Environmental Technologies Ltd. innovate WetSep system, and we have delivered WetSep to 16 different countries including USA, Canada, Singapore and Taiwan.

Advantage
Efficient
-80-88% of suspended solid, oil and grease from the influent are removed in the first stage

Structure
The WetSep System consists of two main parts: Part 1 Impinging Stream Reactor| Part 2 Universal Processing Chamber

Part 1 Impinging Stream Reactor (ISR)
The first stage of the filtration process

Separating the influent into its element at this Primary Treatment Unit
Effluent after ISR treatment removes 80-85% of suspended solds, oil and grease from the influent water
For all applications that required flocculation , coagulation and sedimentation for the treatment of water and wastewtaer, it would be a series of mixing motors and pump motors. The consumption of energy and shear of floc would be the disadvantages of the conventional design.

The WetSep system in using Impinging Stream Reaction, it requires no driven motor and makes the processes ever more simple than before. By precise engineering of the flow path, flow rate, pressure differential and analysed data, the treatment can be completed in one single vessel.

Thanks to the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling technology, the performance of the WetSep Filtration System has been optimized for every application.

The engineering of the WetSep system does not develop only within the design office, but also in hand with the practical experiences, especially the site condition is very much concerned.

Part 2 Universal Processing Chamber (UPC)
The Secondary Treatment Unit

Treated water is clear and re-usable
Effluent following UPC treatment removes more than 99.5% suspended solids and producing effluent with SS<30mg/L
Universal Processing Chamber (UPC) is designed to accommodate with different secordard treatment requirements. As 80-85% of suspended solid has been removed from effluent, the loading of the secondary treatment in UPC will be greatly reduced.

A choice of corrugated plates, lamella plates or membrance filters can be selected for varies application like:

- Laundry
- Bean curd factory
- Food processing
- Dyeing industry

Credibilty

The WetSep has intrigued many people in its simplicity and effectiveness. In April 2000, the presentation of WetSep system drew a lot of attentions from the expert and profession around the world at the prestigious 8th World Filtration Congress, which is held once every 4 years. More than 10 units has been shipped to Taiwan , 5 units installed for the most challenging project, Pinglin Tunnel, rated at 500cuM/hr.

In Hong Kong the success of WetSep has been a feature in many newspapers and magazines articles. Its achievement shaped it to receive for its outstanding design 1999 CMA Certificate of Merit in Machinery and Equipment Design.
